The Pelicans should be even more effective on the fast break once Zion gets back.
Not only is he one of the league’s best finishers at the rim, but he’s the type of big who likes to switch on the perimeter and leak out after he has closed out on the shooter.

Even though the Pels were 6th-best in fast break points per game, they were only 11th in fast break efficiency, so they were leaving points on the table at times by not finishing their run outs.
If there is one thing Zion is exceedingly good at, it’s scoring efficiently, so the Pelicans should be looking for even more of these opportunities next season with the big man flying around the rim in transition.
As Herb and Jose get even better defensively we are going to see more steals, more running and more of Zion finishing those fast breaks with dunks.
