Zion Williamson’s “Voodoo” Air Jordan 1 Lows: Fire or trash?

Zion Williamson has had a busy offseason as he prepares to make his comeback for the New Orleans Pelicans.

In addition to putting in the work with his teammates, Zion has been promoting his new line of shoes for the Air Jordan brand.

I own a pair of Zion 1’s and love them, though I have to say, I am not a fan of the Zion 2’s and even less of the “Voodoo” version of the high top, which looks more like a hiking boot than a basketball shoe.

Recently, we got a look at the low-top version of the “Voodoo” shoe, which has gotten a lot better reception than the high-top version and will be available later in the fall for sneaker heads who want to get a pair of these unique shoes.

I personally like these a lot more, but the reviews on Twitter were pretty mixed when it came to Zion Williamson’s latest shoe.

The “Voodoo” theme is obviously a shout out to New Orleans, though I am sure there are some folks out there who are sick of that caricature of the Crescent City.

The majority of the comments about the new shoe have been positive, but there is a pretty large contingent that is not having any part of these weird-looking shoes.

It seems like these shoes are pretty polarizing, and you can see why. You don’t see many shoes with a brown and green color way and the fabric looks like it came of a sofa in my Aunt Margaret’s house in 1978.

But I actually like them, so will definitely be tempted to get a pair when they drop. What do you think? Are these hideous Shrek shoes or something you would buy?
