The New Orleans Pelicans have assembled one of the most dynamic and promising coaching staffs and front offices in the entire NBA, with former players like Willie Green and Teresa Weatherspoon in the coaching ranks and Swin Cash in the front office.

Cash has been rising the ranks as an executive and is now vice president of basketball operations and team development for the New Orleans Pelicans after an outstanding career as a player.

Cash spent most of her career in Detroit and Seattle, where she racked up three championships in the WNBA and that was after winning two in college, so if there is one thing she knows, it’s winning.

She was the perfect choice for a front-office position, as she knows what it takes to put together a winning team, something she thinks is happening in New Orleans. She was recently inducted into the Naismith Hall-of-Fame for her contributions to the game.

You can watch Cash’s Hall-of-Fame induction speech in its entirety here, but there was one part that stuck out for fans of the Pelicans.

Swin Cash on the Pelicans: “We’re coming.”

There was one part of Cash’s speech that actually gave me goosebumps, and that was after she mentioned the Pelicans and got some applause from the crowd.

You could almost feel the intensity through the screen, and Cash is not one to make idle predictions.

Those who have been paying attention know that she is probably right, as the Pelicans made the playoffs last season and will be adding Zion Williamson, which they hope will catapult them into contention next season.

And if there is anyone who knows what that looks like, it’s Swin Cash, who has a hand full of rings and has been at the top of her profession wherever she has been.

There is great chemistry building in New Orleans, and you can feel it from the top down, as the front office is in sync with the coaching staff, which is getting the most out off the players.

This is how you build sustainable success by bringing in winners who know what it takes to get it done and will demand the most from themselves.

Congratulations to Swin Cash!
