The New Orleans Pelicans will try to bounce back from a tough overtime loss to the Hawks tonight against the Indiana Pacers on the road.

The Pacers have been better than expected so far, so this is not a game the Pelicans can take lightly even though they are favored to win.

New Orleans will need to get more from their bench than they did against the Hawks. Their second unit scored just 15 points, so the Pels will need contributions off the bench from someone other than Larry Nance Jr.

Trey Murphy III against rookie Bennedict Mathurin will be a matchup to watch in this one.

Will the Pels notch another tough road win during one of the toughest stretches of their schedule? Here is everything you need to know.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Indiana Pacers: Odds and Spread, Over/Under

The Pels are five point favorites on the road tonight in Indiana, which is fairly high considering they are on the road. The money lines are set at -225 for New Orleans and +188 for Indiana and the over under is a combined 235 points.

Both of these teams can score in bunches, so I like the over in this one, as this should be an up and down game and Indiana can get hot from 3-point range.

Pelicans injury report

Kira Lewis Jr. is still out for New Orleans and some sites have Zion Williamson listed as day-to-day though he is not on the official injury report as of now.

Chris Duarte and Daniel Thies are out for the Pacers, and Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard are listed as questionable.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Indiana Pacers: Prediction

This is a good test for New Orleans, as this is a team they should beat, but all road games are tough and Indiana does have a talented young backcourt. The Pacers can’t be overlooked, but I do think Willie Green will have his team focused and ready after the overtime loss to Atlanta.

The Pacers have no answer for Brandon Ingram or Zion Williamson, so expect big games from the stars and for the Pels to eventually pull away in the 4th quarter.
