The New Orleans Pelicans will face their first real test of the season tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Smoothie King Center.

The future of the NBA is in the Southwest division and the Grizzlies are the Pelicans’ biggest rivals, so this will be a big one on national TV tonight.

Zion Williamson is still undefeated against Memphis is his career, but so far Ja Morant and the Grizzlies have been better overall. This would be a statement game for the Pelicans, but the question is whether they will have their full roster.

Memphis is one of the teams that New Orleans needs to knock off if they want to climb to the top of the Western Conference. The Grizz may be getting a star back, while the Pels may be down a guy, so it’s going to be a challenge for New Orleans.

Here’s the information you will need.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies: Odds and Spread, Over/Under

New Orleans are 3.5 point favorites according to Fanduel, though that could certainly change by game time depending on the injury report. The money lines are -154 for New Orleans and +130 for Memphis, so the books are giving the Pels a slight edge at home.

The over under is a combined 229 , which seems slightly low considering these two teams average a combined 231 points on the season. This is another number that could be affected by injuries.

Pelicans injury report: Zion Williamson injury update

The Pelicans will be missing Kira Lewis Jr. who was recently put on assignment in the G-League, which is a good sign for his rehab.

Zion Williamson has been listed as questionable with a right foot/ankle sprain, so obviously this will be the one to watch as the game gets closer.

The Grizzlies expect to get Jaren Jackson Jr. back tonight, which is bad news for New Orleans. Ziaire Williams is out and Desmond Bane is listed as doubtful.

If Zion and Bane are out, the under looks like a more promising bet.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies: Prediction

The Pels should be up for this game regardless of who plays. They got into a little scrap at the end of the Houston game, so let’s see if that edge carries over to this one.

Hopefully Zion will play, but even without him, New Orleans can still get a win, especially if CJ McCollum can start to break out of his slump.

The Smoothie King Center is going to be loud tonight and I think the Pels will respond with a big win at home behind a big game from the bench.

New Orleans 117, Memphis 113
