In a game where you are given a finite number of resources, the teams that get the most bang for their buck are typically the ones that experience the most success. This is particularly true for small-market teams, as they typically can’t afford to get too deep into the luxury tax. So, they really need to be cost-efficient in their signings.
Unfortunately, the New Orleans Pelicans (and Hornets) have not experienced much success in their relatively short history. So obviously, that must mean they have made some poor financial decisions along the way.
