The New Orleans Pelicans were blown out at home by the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night, making Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings a must win for the team.

The Grizzlies also played on Tuesday night, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers. Memphis has a two-game lead on the Kings for the No. 2 seed with three games to play.

While one may think the Grizzlies would be all about locking that spot up, Ja Morant (doubtful) is expected to miss this game.

That’s moved the Pelicans to 6.5-point favorites in this game, as the team tries to hold on to the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

Grizzlies vs. Pelicans prediction and pick

The Grizzlies have been fine without Morant this season, going 11-8 straight up, but I’m more concerned about their play on the road.

The Grizz are 15-23 away from FedEx Forum, and the Pelicans have shown all season that they are one of the better home teams in the league.

Even after losing on Tuesday, I like the Pelicans to bounce back here.

A loss would really push the Pelicans to the back of the play-in tournament field, and the team is 15-13 ATS as a home favorite.

Memphis won’t just be without Morant, as Steven Adams, Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, Luke Kennard (doubtful) all could miss this game as well.

I’ll take a shot on the Pelicans to cover in such a big game.
