Trey Murphy III

Despite his impressive sophomore campaign, Trey Murphy could find himself in trade talks this summer.

The Pelicans may feel pressured to upgrade the current roster and trade for another all-star. If that is the case, Murphy will likely be part of that trade package.

However, this is something I don’t see happening.

In his time in New Orleans, Murphy has been a valuable piece of the rotation, as well as a great locker room guy. The Pelicans understand what he brings to the table and would have a difficult time moving on. New Orleans will likely want to keep Murphy around long term.

While it is likely that rumors will swirl this offseason, don’t expect Trey Murphy to be going anywhere.
