What scouts think the Pelicans should do with the 14th overall pick

With the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery officially behind us, we now know where our New Orleans Pelicans will be picking in the 2023 NBA Draft.

As most people expected, the Pelicans will be selecting at the very end of the lottery with the 14th overall pick. But with that now settled, it brings to light a new question: who should the Pelicans use their first-round pick on?

With a draft as talent-laden as this one has been projected to be, the list of possibilities is seemingly endless. So, to help us narrow down the scope of our search, we brought in a trio of scouts from Upside Swings to give us their insight (accumulated from a season’s worth of research) on what the Pelicans should look to do with the 14th overall pick.

So, without further ado, here is what draft scouts Cooper Klein, Bryce Hendricks, and Stone Hansen think the Pelicans should do with their first-round pick.
