Bryce Hendricks: Brandin Podziemski

“It is hard to predict who will be there this far out, but there are a couple of names who stand out as potential picks for the Pelicans at 14. Taylor Hendricks is a long shot to still be there at the end of the lottery, but should he be there, he would be an excellent selection. As Larry Nance Jr. ages out of his role, Hendricks can comfortably step in as a ‘3-and-d’ forward who can close games at the five next to Zion Williamson. A more likely name to still be there around 14 is Brandin Podziemski. Podziemski is an under-the-radar guy currently, but he hails from the same school as Jalen Williams, and he could see a similar post-combine surge. His combination of shooting and off-the-dribble shooting is enticing, and he projects as a passable defender with good size at the guard spot.”
