The New Orleans Pelicans (3-1) failed to qualify for the 2023 NBA 2K24 Summer League Tournament. So, their streak of not winning a Summer League title will continue. However, they will play in a consolation game against the Philadelphia 76ers (1-3) on Sunday. This contest will be their final game of the 2023 NBA Summer League.

So, where can interested parties find this game? Fans can find this game on at 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on NBA TV. For those people still hanging out in Las Vegas, the game will be played at the COX Pavilion.

The Pelicans will be led by their dynamic Summer League duo of Dyson Daniels (the team’s precious 2022 first-round pick) and Dereon Seabron (the team’s most pleasant Summer League surprise).

Through four games, Seabron is averaging 16.8 PPG (team-high), 7.0 RPG (team-high), 2.5 APG, and 1.0 SPG on 57.5% shooting from the floor. He’s also attempting 7.5 free throws per game. Meanwhile, Daniels is averaging 15.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 6.0 APG (team-high), and 2.3 SPG (team-high) on 40.4% shooting from the floor.

In the other corner, the 76ers Summer League roster is headlined by the three-headed monster of Jaden Springer, Javonte Smart, and Terquavion Smith. Springer is averaging 22.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 2.0 APG, and 2.7 SPG on 48.8% shooting from the floor. Smart is averaging 14.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 5.3 APG, and 1.0 SPG on 41.2% shooting from the floor. And Smith is averaging 14.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 4.8 APG, and 1.0 SPG on 42.6% shooting from the floor.

Being that the Pelicans own the 9th-best record and the 76ers own the 23rd-best record, New Orleans is the favorite to take this final game. But remember, this is sports we’re talking about here. There is a reason they play the games on the hardwood and not on computers. Anyone can win on any given night. So, let’s see if our Pelicans can take care of business and finish the 2023 Summer League with a 4-1 record.
