December 19 vs. Memphis Grizzlies

3. Zion Williamson vs. Ja Morant will continue to be the 2019 NBA Draft’s dominant headliners, thanks to their actions both on and off the court. Morant’s first game back from suspension is penciled in for December 19. Memphis will be incorporating a star on the road on the second night of a two-road game back-to-back. The TNT crew will be in town, one of only two visits all season. Make a statement, Pelicans. Show you’re much further along in the championship process for the 2023-24 campaign with a win.

December 31 vs. Los Angeles Lakers

4. The Los Angeles Lakers will be on their third game in four nights when they visit the Smoothie King Center on New Year’s Eve. The Pelicans will have had two full days of rest and over a week of staying in their own beds. New Orleans heads home after a December 21 game in Cleveland and does not leave the city again until January 3. Close out the calendar year with a statement win over Anthony Davis and LeBron James, who will also have just dealt with the Christmas Day game distractions.
