We are all very aware of the 'beef' between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole that started back in October of 2022. For some reason, you are having trouble remembering, let me remind you. Before the 2022-23 season began, Green punched Poole during a disagreement at practice. This altercation was caught on video and spread across the internet and ultimately could've been the reason Poole was traded the following offseason.

Since then, Poole and Green have never really shown love for one another. This is probably the reason why this clip of Green talking about Poole during the Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis from a little over a month ago didn't go viral.

Green was asked for his thoughts and reaction to the Jordan Poole, CJ McCollum trade, and he praised the Pelicans and Poole, he said.

"Jordan still has room for growth, I don't think we've seen the best of his growth yet, and I think getting in an organization like New Orleans under Joe Dumars' leadership, with Willie Green as the coach, I think that it'll be a really good situation for him."

Green also mentioned something I've been saying for months, which is that Poole posted a career year, but it went unnoticed because he was playing in Washington.

Seeing this clip on my X timeline the other day came as a shock for two reasons. One reason was that it was so old, and this was the first time I saw anyone mention Green praising Poole. The second reason was in what world was I ever expecting to see Draymond saying something positive about not just the Pelicans, but a guy he punched in the face less than 3 years ago.

This comments should excite fans

All summer, it feels like writers and experts have been dumping on Joe Dumars for making the Jordan Poole trade. The common consensus is that he is someone who doesn't contribute to winning. Time and time again, these experts make these claims, yet people like Tim Legler, Kendrick Perkins, Marc Spears, and now Green has all come up to bat for this team. All 4 of these men have had a role in the NBA one way or another for a multitude of years, and are people whose opinions we can trust.

I was very excited to watch Jordan Poole bring his Poole party to the Big Easy this season, but after seeing these comments from Draymond, my excitement has grown.
