Like Stephen Curry, LeBron James also used the Olympics to remind the NBA world what he's capable of. Both players were likely also motivated to convince their respective front offices to further upgrade the rosters around them to help lead another title run in the tail-ends of their primes.

At 39 years old, James was still able to step up and be the best player on the floor for Team USA, oftentimes when they desperately needed him to do so. Despite his advanced age, he was able to completely control the game's pace and get to the rim at will when called upon. Many times, he still looked like the most athletic player on the court, even with several NBA All-Stars as his running mates.

Last year, the seeding battle was extremely hot and went down to the last games of the regular season, especially in the Western Conference. By April 4, 2025, there's a very strong chance that the Pelicans and the Lakers will be jostling for playoff position among their West peers. Both teams could even be trying to get into the postseason picture or avoiding a Play-In Tournament bid. With the stakes being potentially that high, coupled with the fact that LeBron's last game against the Pelicans is rapidly approaching, this one is an absolutely must-see game.
