Zion Williamson has had a busy summer this offseason. Before training camp begins for the New Orleans Pelicans, he's been touring for Jordan Brand alongside some of their brightest NBA stars including Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, and Paolo Banchero. They've been traversing China as part of Jordan Brand's inaugural China Family Tour and have seemingly had a blast doing it.

Zion and company have been spotted sailing along the Bund, visiting the Nike campus in Shanghai, and hiking the Great Wall of China. While they've certainly been enjoying their trip to China, the Jordan stars are also there on business, as part of an effort to multiply interest and fan dedication for both the sport of basketball and the brand to their Chinese fans.

It's been encouraging to see that Zion has seemingly managed to improve his conditioning this offseason despite such a loaded schedule. Perhaps spending the summer around Luka Doncic — who just came off of an NBA Finals berth — and the other Jordan stars will sharpen Zion's desire and efforts to elevate the New Orleans Pelicans to the next level.

Zion Williamson picks his best fits for Luka Doncic's hypothetical NCAA career

While Zion and the other Jordan ambassadors conducted serious business during their China tour, the social teams surrounding them showcased their fun sides to help further connect them to the fans. An easy way to humanize these ultra-rich megastars is with fun interviews.

NBA fans are used to hearing their favorite players talk about the game and give highly rehearsed answers that protect their public relations, team chemistry, and marketability. Seeing a true peek into a player's personality off of the court is rare and enticing.

For example, Overtime asked the Jordan stars where they thought Luka Doncic would have gone to college had he played in the NCAA instead of overseas. Doncic himself offered the Arizona Wildcats as a possibility because he's heard that "it's good over there."

Paolo Banchero, a former Duke Blue Devil, stated that he could see Doncic with his former school. He also shared that Doncic is one of former Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski's favorite players, and he urged Banchero to watch Doncic in the bubble during his time with the Blue Devils.

Zion, another former Duke player, had different ideas, saying that he could see Doncic "in Southern California, Texas A&M, or the University of Florida." Doncic's flashy game would have been a perfect fit with the USC Trojans, and his comfortability in Texas makes him a good fit for the Aggies as well. The Florida Gators have been one of the most successful college basketball programs in the history of the sport and boast several NBA legends, so envisioning Doncic in the iconic blue and orange isn't difficult.

It's interesting that Zion didn't think that Luka could be a fellow Dukie, but perhaps it's his natural competitiveness coming out and keeping Doncic at arm's length. Hopefully, that competitiveness had him sharpening his iron against Doncic's this summer, as the Pelicans will likely have to deal with Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks for years to come.
