He has to get better in transition right? Right?

Rick: I mean, can he? The biggest issue with Evans on the fastbreak is just plain rushing it. It seems like a track meet to him, where it only matters that he gets to the rim as quick as possible.

Forcing the issue is a problem in Tyreke’s transition game, but that’s kind of his mentality attacking the basket in general. That’s the kind of player he is. No regard for thinking it over. Just go. So I wonder if asking him to calm down and think on the break is more going against the grain of his thought process. Or he could just pass once in a while on the break. That too.

Charles: It is really appalling how a player with Tyreke’s skillset can struggle so much in transition. He has all the physical tools to strive in a fast paced game but he too often makes the wrong reads  on a fast break. I think for him to be a core member of the Pelicans going forward it’s an area he is going to have to improve in dramatically.

Matt:  ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I mean I would hope so but at the end of the day the guy has been in the league for six years. If he is going to struggle with decision-making at this point it kind of feels like it will just happen forever. Which is a shame considering he has a mutant running with him so often that will dunk just about anything.
