Austin (@apete1993): Jamal Mashburn

Jamal Mashburn spent a total of four seasons in a Hornets uniform, with his final two seasons of his career ending in New Orleans. His first season in New Orleans, Mashburn was named to his only All-Star appearance of his career, averaging 21.6 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 5.6 assists per game during that 02-03 campaign.

His second season was cut short, only playing 19 games before chronic knee issues forced him to retire. He was traded by the Hornets during the 03-04 season, but didn’t play a game for the Philadelphia 76ers after being acquired by the team.
Mashburn’s numbers are very worthy of an All-Star nod, and looking at the body of work for his whole career, it is surprising to see that he only made one All-Star team in his whole career. It is nice that it came as a Hornet nonetheless, securing his place in this All-Time New Orleans squad.
