Saturday, October 29th: New Orleans Pelicans @ San Antonio Spurs

The New Orleans Pelicans have won a game against the San Antonio Spurs in the past two seasons.

Last year, the Pels took down the Spurs in their first match of the 2015-2016 season on November 20th, by a score of 104-90.

After the next three games went San Antonio’s way, New Orleans now has something to prove this season around.

One of the biggest confidence boosters to the Pelicans’ playoff team two years ago was their ability to win the season series against the Spurs 3-1. They were able to take three big games from a division rival and one of the elites of the NBA.

The Spurs just lost their leader in Tim Duncan due to retirement, yet they’re still a lethal team. With Kawhi Leonard still being at the level of Davis, the teams will still battle for bragging rights in the Southwest Division.

Despite the Pelicans losing three games in a row to Spurs, much of that can be put on the plague of injuries. With a healthy roster ready to go, expect a series that has been hard fought to be exciting once again.
