Milwaukee Bucks

If the Bucks were somehow able to swing a trade for Anthony Davis, the Eastern Conference would be locked up for a while. Even just imaging the duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and AD is probably enough to give every GM in the East nightmares. No one would be able to stop them.

Thankfully for the rest of the conference, Milwaukee simply does not have the assets as the summer begins to get a deal like this done. To start, their lone draft pick in the first round will fall at #30 since the Bucks finished the season with the best record in the NBA. This pick would hardly move the needle at all for Griffin and the Pelicans.

Player-wise, the Bucks obviously have a lot of talent, but many key players they could trade away are entering free agency. Giannis is obviously untouchable, so the only other significant name with years left on his contract is Eric Bledsoe.

Khris Middleton will be entering free agency, as will Malcolm Brogdon and Brook Lopez. These three players along with Bledsoe are the ones that could be used to figure out some sort of combination to at least get the Pelicans interested, but it’s not going to happen with three of the four hitting free agency.

Eric Bledsoe and scraps in exchange for Anthony Davis just will not work.
