6. Phoenix Suns – Darius Garland, Vanderbilt, PG

With his meniscus injury, we hardly got to witness Darius Garland’s greatness in college. He only saw action in about four and half games before going down for the season. However, Garland should be healthy and ready to go now, and the Phoenix Suns desperately need a point guard. This is an easy pick for them at #6.

7. Chicago Bulls – Coby White. North Carolina, PG/SG

The Bulls also need a point guard, and they’d be thrilled for Darius Garland to somehow slip passed the Suns. However, Coby White will still be a guy that’s too tempting to pass up for them. He’s a bit more raw than Garland, but his incredible speed and potential on defense make him the right pick here to play next to Zach LaVine on an ever increasingly interesting Bulls’ roster.

8. Atlanta Hawks – Cam Reddish, Duke, SF

The third and final Blue Devil to go in the first round, Cam Reddish has the tools to be great, but didn’t have a huge chance to showcase them in college. With Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett on the roster too, one guy was bound to sort of get lost in the shuffle. Still, Cam was very highly touted out of high school, and the potential is still there. The Hawks could use a dynamic wing next to Trae Young and John Collins.

9. Washington Wizards – Brandon Clarke, Gonzaga, PF

Washington is another team that needs help pretty much everywhere. Brandon Clarke might not have true star potential, but he seems like a guy that will be a very solid pro for a long time. John Wall will likely miss the entire season, so their season is lost anyway. Might as well get a guy that’ll help you long-term. Washington would probably love to snag a new point guard, but with Garland and White off the board, anyone else would be a reach here.

10. Atlanta Hawks (Via Mavericks) – Jaxson Hayes, Texas, C

The Hawks will probably have an opening at the center position, and Hayes is the top prospect at that position. With his addition, the starting lineup is really taking shape. Trae Young, Cam Reddish, John Collins, and Jaxson Hayes are four young players that fans in Atlanta could truly be excited about.
