 Opening night vs. Toronto Raptors

The Pelicans will kick off the entire NBA season in Canada, taking on the defending World Champion Toronto Raptors. Not only is this a massive night for the hometown Raptors as they will raise their first championship banner in franchise history, but also a chance for a young and hungry Pelicans squad to come in to the champs city and “punch em’ in the mouth”. The Pelicans are one of the younger teams in the NBA and if the Raptors come out flat-footed fresh off a championship last season, the Pelicans have a chance to take the NBA world by storm on opening night with a win in “The Six”. What better way for the Raptors to start a new era post Kawhi Leonard than to face the next up and coming superstar of the NBA in Zion Williamson and the new look Pelicans. You know what they say, “To be the man, you gotta beat the man”.
