Wednesday, March 13th – New Orleans Pelicans @ Utah Jazz

Coming in the first game of a back-to-back road trip against two of the best teams in their conference, the Pelicans will be tasked with taking on Utah Jazz before having to take on the LA Clippers in the Staples Center the following afternoon.

It’ll be interesting to watch Zion Williamson go to work against Rudy Gobert in the regular season, as the rookie made the reigning (and two-time) Defensive Player of the Year look like a second-round novice at times during the preseason.

These two teams have had some awesome, neck-and-neck games this season, though the Jazz own a 2-1 record over New Orleans as things currently stand.

When these two teams met on Jan. 16, Brandon Ingram had one of the best games of his career, posting a career-high 49 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in a controversial overtime victory for New Orleans.

However, Donovan Mitchell was also spectacular in the last meeting and posted 46 points, as the two All-Stars traded baskets in a thrilling buzzer-to-buzzer contest.

Especially by having Zion Williamson on their side for this match-up, the Pelicans have really proven to be an even opponent for the Jazz, who sit 36-18 and in fourth place in the conference after the All-Star Break.

Needing to keep racking up wins over Western Conference Playoff teams to mount their own playoff run, beating Utah on their home floor to even the season series would be gigantic for the Pelicans.
