New Orleans Pelicans: Josh Hart will win 6th Man of the Year Next Season
The New Orleans Pelicans are going to be good
The Pelicans have a chance to make the biggest leap of any team in the NBA next season. The Pels are currently the 9th seed, 3.5 games out of the playoffs and did so largely without the services of Zion.
With a full season of Zion, Lonzo and Ingram together, the Pelicans could make a leap into the top half of the Western Conference.
Winning teams take home the awards and if the Pelicans find themselves in the four or five seed next season, they are going to get plenty of attention.
They will already be one of the most nationally televised teams in the NBA because of Zion, and if they are a contender, even more people will notice and wonder why.
If Josh Hart is leading the bench unit and the Pelicans are winning, he has a good shot at taking home the 6th Man of the Year Award.
The Pelicans are loaded with potential award winners, as Ingram has a good shot at Most Improved Player this season and we predict that Lonzo will be a frontrunner for the award next season.
With so many big name players on one team, it might seem like Hart will get lost in the shuffle, but increased focus on the team will only get more eyeballs on the bench.
Team success leads to individual awards, so the better the team is, the better Hart’s chances to win 6th man will be.
Hart’s future with the team is uncertain, but what’s not is his ability. He’ll be given more responsibility on both ends and is in a contract year, which should translate into big numbers and a real chance to win 6th Man of the Year.
