New Orleans Pelicans: Top Eleven 20-Year-Olds in the NBA
In honor of Zion Williamson’s 20th birthday, we compiled a list of the best 20-year-olds in the NBA, which includes a couple of New Orleans Pelicans.
The NBA has an up an coming group of young players who are poised to take over the league, including Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans.
This crop of 20-year-old includes several players who are already on the verge of stardom and are hoping to lead their respective teams to extended playoff runs.
Both the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies have two players on the list and both look like they’ll be battling each other for a playoff spot for years to come.
It looks as though Ja Morant will win Rookie of the Year, but Zion Williamson made a strong case though he only played 19 games.
When compiling this list, we looked at what players have already done in the league as well as their future potential.
Without further ado, here are the top 20-year-olds in the NBA.
#11: Kevin Porter Jr., Cleveland Cavaliers
For a lot of the season it looked like the Cavaliers might have gotten one of the steals of the draft in Kevin Porter Jr.
Detroit originally drafted Porter Jr. but then traded him away to the Cavs in a move they may regret some day, though Porter’s season was really up and down.
He had some big games, like his 30 point effort against the Miami Heat, but he also completely disappeared for stretches and at one point starting racking up the DNP’s.
Porter Jr. is a little undersized for the small forward position and isn’t a great shooter, but he has flashed enough potential on the wing to make this list.
