The New Orleans Pelicans Should Look At Will Hardy Seriously After He Impressed the Knicks

The New Orleans Pelicans are starting to dig deeper into their search for the franchise’s next head coach. With potentially over thirty candidates being in the running for the position, there’s a lot to breakdown about who will ultimately hit the jackpot and end up coaching this talented roster.

As the Pelicans continue diving into their pool of candidates one idea to consider exploring is some coaching prospects who recently impressed during other interviews even if they didn’t walk away with the job.

When looking at the past few head coaching openings there was one name that sounded interesting for the New Orleans Pelicans to consider interviewing themselves.

This candidate is only 32 years old, younger than some of the players on the New Orleans Pelicans roster and he somehow left the New York Knicks impressed in his recent interview for their head coach opening just a few months ago.

His story seems fresh out of a movie, rising from a basketball operations intern to a top assistant coach in only a couple of years. It sounds very reminiscent of Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.

Who is this NBA wunderkind? His name is Will Hardy and he’s one of the lead assistant coaches for the San Antonio Spurs. Could he be just the kind of prodigy the New Orleans Pelicans need to leap to contention?

Here are the three best reasons the New Orleans Pelicans should consider Will Hardy for the next coach in franchise history.
