The New Orleans Pelicans may have a hidden gem in Didi Louzada.

When the New Orleans Pelicans drafted Didi Louzada with the 35th overall pick, it was heralded as a smart move and then everyone promptly forgot.

It’s easy to forget the draft-and-stash players, as their games aren’t often televised and fans don’t get to see them play against top competition.

But the New Orleans Pelicans haven’t forgotten Didi Louzada.

The Pels have been sure to keep Didi in their social media campaign, reminding fans that they may have a special talent waiting to break out.

Didi has stayed active and engaged on social media and even liked our suggestion that his current coach, Will Weaver, would make a good candidate for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans will be searching for a backup point guard, and with few options in free agency, promoting Louzada is a possibility, especially if he continues to improve.

He played well for the Sydney Kings of the NBL, flashing quickness at his size, the ability to break down defenses, and a high defensive motor.
