New Orleans Pelicans: A trade with the New York Knicks for the #8 NBA Draft Pick

The New York Knicks, like the Pistons, are both terrible and gutted that they dropped in the NBA Draft.

The Knicks don’t have a lot of talent and would be another team that might be open to moving back if they could pick up an asset and still get a pick in the lottery.

With so many unknowns, teams may believe they can get the guy they like later in the draft and would be willing to move down.

This isn’t much to work with here, so all the Pelicans can offer is picks.

Would two additional picks be enough to move up five spots in the draft? Probably not, but the Pels wouldn’t be willing to give up much more unless the Knicks wanted yet another second-rounder.

The Knicks would only do it if they thought the guy they wanted would still be there at 13 or if they were trying to package a bunch of picks in a mega-trade.

If the Pelicans could do this, they would, as it wouldn’t cost them anything but second-round picks and they could potentially get a better player.
