New Orleans Pelicans: A trade with the Washington Wizards for the #9 NBA Draft Pick

The Washington Wizards are one of those teams that seem to be at a crossroads. If John Wall comes back healthy, they might think they can compete for the East and they might be right.

They have some young talent around Bradley Beal, though they still need to add depth, which is why they might consider trading down if they could still get a lottery pick and grab an asset for their troubles.

The Wizards get a young project player to develop in NAW and still stay in the lottery, where they might be able to get another guy they like anyway.

The Pelicans only do this if they think a player at #9 is a better fit than whatever NAW and #13 would give you. Would the Pels give up on a young player just to move up four spots?

If they think there is a potential building block there, they just might.
