There are some trade possibilities for the New Orleans Pelicans in the Central Division.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been involved in a lot of trade rumors already this offseason, as they have the right combination of young talent, veteran assets and draft picks to deal with just about anyone.

We broke down the trade rumors by division and took a look at one possible trade for every team, starting with the Central Division in the Eastern Conference.

This division had the regular season’s best team in the Milwaukee Bucks and a middling playoff team in Indiana, but also had three of the worst teams in basketball in the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls.

These three teams are trying to rebuild, while the Bucks and Pacers are trying to tweak playoff rosters into contenders.

There are plenty of potential scenarios with these teams and they provide opportunities for small trades that help balance the roster or fill a need all the way up to blockbuster trades that would dramatically alter both franchises.

The New Orleans Pelicans are not desperate to make a trade, but they have several weaknesses that must be addressed if they want to make the leap into the Western Conference elite next season.

With little cap space to spend in free agency, the Pelicans’ best option to fill these holes is through trades or the NBA Draft, where they have four picks in a somewhat thin crop of players.

Here is a trade with each team in the Central Division that would either patch a hole in the roster or shake up the foundation of the team.
