There are several trades with the Miami Heat that would benefit the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Miami Heat were so close to an NBA title they could taste it, which is why there might be an opportunity for the New Orleans Pelicans in a trade.

Miami will be one of the busiest teams this offseason, as they will want to add additional pieces to a Finals roster, have a ton of cap space but also have six potential free agents of their own.

They may just let some of those guys walk and try to replace them with other impact free agents, though there will probably be mutual interest with a few of them, particularly Goran Dragic.

The Heat are one of the teams that would love to add Jrue Holiday, as he is a good fit with their roster whether they re-sign Dragic or not.

He would undoubtedly fit with Jimmy Butler and give the Heat another versatile player on both ends of the floor. A core of Butler, Holiday, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo would put the Heat right back into the mix next season.

They would still have the cap space to land another impact free agent in the offseason or save their money for the inevitable run at Giannis Antetokounmpo when and if he becomes a free agent.

The Heat will have a lot of tough decisions to make, but they could be made easier by making a trade now, sacrificing some of their depth for more talent.

Here are two possible trades with the Heat that would potentially make both teams better now and into the future.
