The Atlantic Division is a good place for the New Orleans Pelicans to find trades.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been involved in a number of trade rumors this offseason, many of them to the teams in the Atlantic Division.

Four out of the five teams made the playoffs this season and those four are expected to be right back in the mix. The fifth team, the hapless Knicks, are always looking for ways to bring big names to New York and are also willing to deal.

The Atlantic Division is interesting because nearly every team is a fit for Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans’ most attractive trade asset.

Toronto is likely to lose some of their core this offseason and will want to replace it, Boston is one piece away from being a serious contender, Philadelphia has a new coach and may want to shake things up and the Nets will be in their first season with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and would love to add another piece.

The Pelicans have a load of young players, veteran contracts and draft capital, so it is not surprising that they are popping up in trade rumors with nearly all of these teams.

The New Orleans Pelicans don’t need to make a trade, but with a max extension for Brandon Ingram on the horizon, they are going to be short on cap space to make moves in free agency, so a trade makes the most sense.

They could go for a trade that uses one of their veterans to get some depth or try to trade away some of their trade assets for proven players.

Here is one trade with each of the teams in the Atlantic Division.
