The New Orleans Pelicans can find some offseason trades with the Northwest Division.

The New Orleans Pelicans have the right combination of young players, veteran contracts and draft assets to make a trade with just about any team.

They are going to keep popping up in trade rumors until next season’s trade deadline, so Pels’ fans should get used to it.

The New Orleans Pelicans aren’t necessarily looking for a trade, but with limited cap space available this offseason, it might be the only way to balance the roster and add some much-needed depth.

The Pelicans’ starting five was one of the best in the NBA last season, but the bench lacked quality depth and the Pels desperately need some more size and defense on the wing and in the paint.

That’s a lot of holes to fill, which is why a trade may be necessary.

The Northwest Division is one of the strongest in the NBA, as all but one team made the playoffs and the Denver Nuggets made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

OKC was a surprising team that might look to trade Chris Paul to grab assets or just add to what they already have. Utah was strong in the playoffs and has to like their chances if they can grab another piece around Donovan Mitchell.

Portland made the playoffs and is always going to be a contender as long as Damian Lillard is there. Even Minnesota has a nice young core and the 1st pick in the NBA Draft to build around.

These are teams that would probably be looking for veteran players who are ready to join and contribute to a contender.
