New Orleans Pelicans NBA Draft: A giant point guard sleeper for the 2nd round
The New Orleans Pelicans could find another giant point guard in the 2nd round of the NBA Draft.
The New Orleans Pelicans have four picks in what is going to be the wildest NBA Draft of all time.
Not only do teams have very little time before the NBA Draft next month, but they didn’t get a chance to watch prospects under the big lights of conference tournaments and March Madness.
This could lead to chaos on draft day, as teams could try and trade out of this draft, move down or push in their chips and try to move up for a top pick.
All of these options are available to the New Orleans Pelicans, who have four picks and could use them in a number of ways.
The problem is that they are going to have very little money for free agency after signing Brandon Ingram to a max extension, especially after the announcement that the NBA salary cap was going to drop significantly after the league lost revenue.
The Pels need to find impact talent in the draft, otherwise, they may have to trade one of their veterans or go deep into the luxury tax to strengthen their roster this offseason.
The quick turnaround could also lead teams to draft more upperclassman than ever before, and there are several intriguing options that the New Orleans Pelicans should consider.
Teams might also turn to the international scene, where there could be impact talent that falls to the second round.
One such player is Abdoulaye N’Doye, a giant point guard out of France who has a compelling skillset. But does he fit on the New Orleans Pelicans?
