New Orleans Pelicans: Jrue Holiday to the Atlanta Hawks trade

Trade #1

The first trade is my preference, as it not only brings back two interesting players but also gives the Pels additional draft assets and clears some cap space for further moves.

This is a trade I have proposed several times and it makes a ton of sense. The Pelicans get some nice depth at center/power forward in Dewayne Dedmon, potentially elite shooting off the bench in Kevin Huerter and grab another lottery pick in the draft.

This would leave them a ton of options, as they would not only have two picks to possibly make additional trades but would also clear up some cap space in the process.

They could spend that cap space on someone like Serge Ibaka or Jae Crowder. They could use their picks on someone like Onyeka Okongwu and Aaron Nesmith.

If the New Orleans Pelicans want to make the trade that gives them the most possible options, this is it. They could potentially build a team that was young but ready to contend now.
