Without Brandon Ingram, who knows how this Pelicans team would perform, given that it was his 24 points a game last season that led the team. Which reminds me, how great is it to see Ingram blossom before our eyes into one of the best players in the league?

People questioned Ingram his whole life because of his slight frame, and some even mocked the Lakers for deciding to invest in Ingram with the 2nd pick in the 2016 draft. Not anymore, now the people who get to watch Ingram’s breathtaking play are thankful that he’s come this far in his career.

Of course, having that extension is the real reason to give Ingram some thanks at this time of year. Rather than giving the Pelicans the runaround and trying to force his way to another team during his restricted free agency, Ingram decided to confirm that he’s in for the long haul with the Pelicans. He wants to take part in the construction of a championship roster.
