The New Orleans Pelicans need a strong response vs. OKC after a tough loss.

The New Orleans Pelicans should have won the game against the Pacers but that is in the past. But How they respond against the OKC Thunder will tell us a lot about this team’s future.

The Pelicans should be angry after they blew a winnable game against the Pacers, but good teams don’t let this stuff linger, they move on and take care of business the next day.

Stan Van Gundy took some heat after the loss and admitted that he should have called a late timeout and used Zion Williamson more in the overtime.

Again, that’s the past. Learn from it and move on.

If the New Orleans Pelicans are going to be a playoff team then they need to bounce back from the occasional bad loss.

Here is what we need to see against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

New Orleans Pelicans: The Pels need to trounce the Thunder

A blowout win

The OKC Thunder are a young, scrappy team that is not going to quit coming at you, but they are also bad.

The Pelicans smoked them 113-80 in the last game and need to batter them even worse this time.

Good teams beat bad ones, it’s that simple, so the Pels can’t let frustration over the last game distract them from the task at hand or they will lose to a bad team, compounding the problem.

The Pelicans should be able to dominate the Thunder and will have all the motivation to do so after being embarrassed by the Pacers.

It would be nice to see the Pelicans put together a start-to-finish beatdown, not let the Thunder linger and take care of business against a team that they should dominate.
