In our latest NBA Power Rankings, we evaluate where the New Orleans Pelicans rank 10 games into the season

More than any other, this NBA season has been a tough one to gauge. Thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, teams have been forced to postpone games and play some without their best players available.  Even still, a majority of these teams, including the New Orleans Pelicans have made it to around the 10-game mark. That means it’s time to update our NBA Power Rankings.

In today’s ranking, we decided to start from the top and work our way down. This way fans can get a glimpse at the top contenders first. It’ll also build some suspense for where we have the Pelicans ranked this time around. So, without further ado, here’s our number one team!

1. Los Angeles Lakers (10-3)

There was no question that the Los Angeles Lakers were going to end up at the top of our NBA Power Rankings, despite the dismay of Pelicans fans.

This Lakers team simply looks unstoppable right now. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are barely playing at full strength yet, after winning the NBA championship just 4 months ago, yet they’re still winning. Credit the Lakers front office for adding Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell too. This team continues to win convincingly, even if they have had an easy schedule. They’re on their way to the top seed in the Western Conference.
