The New Orleans Pelicans finally got a win over the Washington Wizards, who were missing eight players and on the second game of a back-to-back.

Anything less than a blowout win would have been devastating to the New Orleans Pelicans, who are trying to salvage their season after a terrible start.

Bradley Beal scored 47 points for the Wizards but the Pels were able to shut down everyone else and hold on to a 124-106 win that probably shouldn’t even have been that close.

If that was Beal’s audition for the Pelicans then sign me up because that guy can flat-out hoop.

The Pelicans continue to struggle in many areas of the game, but one thing is for certain, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram are stars.

The rest of the team? Well, that is a different story, though there were some positive signs for the New Orleans Pelicans in their win over the Wizards.

Here are the grades.

New Orleans Pelicans: Point guard grades vs. the Wizards

Point Guards

Lonzo Ball was having one of his best games of the season before having to leave with an ankle injury that we hope is not serious.

Before leaving the game at the half, Lonzo had nine points, four assists, two rebounds, two steals and no turnovers.

He was running the offense effectively and did a solid job defending Bradley Beal, which was obvious as soon as he left the game.
