It’s the league’s worst secret that the New Orleans Pelicans are listening to offers for J.J. Redick.

Several teams have already been connected to the veteran sharpshooter and it’s probably just a matter of time before the Pelicans trade him.

Redick has not played for three games and appears to be out of the rotation, possibly because of his poor play but maybe because the Pels are making sure he stays healthy.

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the teams rumored to be interested in Redick’s services and they might have the right combination of players or picks to get it done.

The Pelicans would either want back draft picks, a project player or a defender like Matisse Thybulle, but would they be willing to throw in assets of their own to make it happen? How many assets?

In this trade, the New Orleans Pelicans take back three players including wing defender Matisse Thybulle. The other two are really just salary filler, though Mike Scott would get minutes for the Pels.

The 76ers get J.J. Redick and two 2nd-round picks, including one from Washington that could be near the top of the round.

Would the 76ers give up one of their best defenders for Redick? Would the Pels have any interest?
