Dallas Mavericks could be trade partners for the New Orleans Pelicans

After getting off to slow starts, both the Pelicans and Mavs have been the subject of myriad trade rumors.

The two teams have even been linked in some trade rumors and on paper would make the perfect trade partners, as both have something that the other team needs.

These talks have cooled as both teams started winning more frequently but if the Mavs want to add more shooting then there could still be some mutual interest.

The Mavs could still use a shooter or two and the Pels would love to get a guy like Maxi Kleber to complement Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, so there could eventually be a match depending on how things shake out.

It’s tough to trade with a division rival, especially when both teams are playing well, but if one of them starts to fall off again, we may see these talks revived.

Tonight’s game is about more than just one win or loss. Both teams want to show that their recent strong play is sustainable and that their superstar is the next big thing.

We could even see these two teams in trade talks before it is all said and done, so there is a lot to watch tonight for fans of both teams.
