The New Orleans Pelicans could get crazy by trading J.J. Redick to the Brooklyn Nets for the rights to Spencer Dinwiddie

The New Orleans Pelicans currently sit 12-16, leading many fans to debate whether the team should be buying or selling at the approaching trade deadline.

Personally, I believe that the Pelicans shouldn’t be tanking this season because it’s important to the developments of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. But what if a trade came along that would see the Pelicans buy another player to help them contend while also helping them boost their draft position this year?

You might say that sounds unrealistic, but not for a front office willing to get creative. The strategy comes clear in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets that looks like this:
