New Orleans Pelicans: The playoffs are possibly at stake

The New Orleans Pelicans are just one game behind the Golden State Warriors for the 10th spot in the Western Conference, which this season is technically part of the playoffs.

The Pels would love to at least get into the play-in tournament to get a shot to make the playoffs, and I can guarantee the rest of the Western Conference is hoping that doesn’t happen considering the way Zion Williamson is playing right now.

Do you think a team like the Grizzlies would like to play the Pelicans in two games with their season on the line? Me either.

The Warriors play the Nuggets tonight so if the Pels win, they could find themselves in a tie for the play-in spot with three games remaining against the Warriors.

This will be a great chance for the Pels to get some meaningful high-pressure games for their young players which is crucial for their development and will matter a lot more than gaining a spot or two in the draft.

The New Orleans Pelicans are on the verge of being a consistent playoff contender and would love to take that first step this season.

You wouldn’t think a game between the 11th and 12th place teams would be so important but there is a lot at stake tonight when the Pelicans take on the Kings.
