New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson shows no mercy, even to children

Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans is having a much different offseason than he had last year.

Instead of nursing a broken foot and avoiding the media, Zion has been on a bit of a public relations tour, with photos and videos of him popping up all over the place.

He’s been spotted in churches in New Orleans, playing pickup games with kids, and dropped a new ad for his signature shoes.

Zion was more or less challenged by veteran CJ McCollum to be more open with the media, and that is exactly what he’s been doing, though it is on his terms, which means just being himself and doing what he loves to do, which is dominate on the basketball court.

We got to see more of it recently in a hilarious video against an unlikely opponent.

Zion made an appearance to shoot around with some kids, when apparently one of them started talking a little trash, so Zion had to remind him of what we’ve all been missing:

There are a bunch of these videos going around, which will undoubtedly become memes the next time Zion Williamson basically does the same thing to an NBA defender.

It’s all just a bit of fun of course, and Zion is also treating these kids to some highlight-reel dunks. Here he is doing a between the legs dunk that he makes look effortless.

It’s good to see more of Zion Williamson this offseason, but it will be even better to see him back on the court dominating NBA players instead of kids.

This New Orleans Pelicans team is going to be scary next season and we are just getting a preview of what it is going to look like when Zion finally returns.
