The New Orleans Pelicans could still nab one of the valuable NBA free agents remaining.

After signing Sindarius Thornwell and Wenyen Gabriel to minimum deals, the New Orleans Pelicans roster is nearly complete.

Going into the offseason, they had needs at both forward positions, center and backup point guard, which have mostly been addressed with the Jrue Holiday trade that eventually netted them Steven Adams.

The Pels also signed undrafted rookie Naji Marshall to a two-way deal and he could end up being a nice addition, especially on the defensive end.

But the Pels still have a couple of roster spots and some definite needs, as they could still use some size, especially at power forward and the wing, their two biggest areas of defensive need.

Here are four guys who should be low-cost contributors that would fit with what the Pelicans already have.

Glen Robinson III

We wrote about how Robinson III might fit with the Pelicans as a dynamic wing scorer off the bench.

The Pels still don’t have much depth behind Brandon Ingram, and though Robinson is not the defender they would like on the wing, he is a solid shooter who has knocked down 37.3 percent from long range in his career.

Since getting more opportunity, Robinson III has been very good, averaging double digits off the bench and shooting 40 percent from 3-point range for the Warriors.

Robinson III might end up being too expensive for the Pelicans, especially when they need more help defensively. He would probably be a luxury the Pelicans cannot afford but if his price is reasonable, there might be a fit, as the Pelicans still need bench scoring, especially from the wing.
