Rounding up some of the latest news involving the New Orleans Pelicans during the 2020-2021 NBA season
It’s been an up and down week for the New Orleans Pelicans. They started their season rolling with a win against the Toronto Raptors, followed that up with an ugly loss to the Miami Heat on Christmas Day, and recovered with a gritty win over the Spurs.
In that three-game span, a ton of storylines about this team are generating. Among the biggest is the Pelicans rotation. Do they have enough to compete in a tough Western Conference? Will they get better? And if not, can the front office improve the bench?
Some people have even said that the Pelicans should forget about the bench altogether. Instead, those people believe the team should aim for the fences and attempt to a disgruntled superstar like James Harden. Certain media outlets are even predicting it.
Oh, and how can we forget? Brandon Ingram was named the Western Conference’s Player of the Week for the first week of the season. This has put him in an early position to be a candidate for the MVP this season, obviously a trend to keep an eye on.
So that, a brief wrap-up, now let’s hit the links!

"“Playing Hart at the 4 is a very valuable option for the Pelicans. By sizing down with Hart, New Orleans had a zippier, more agile defense against a demanding offense with plenty of scoring options.”"
