Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram have played like All-NBA players, Lonzo Ball has been amazing in his new role and even J.J. Redick has shown some signs of life.

Last night featured a nice win over a good Indiana team as well as some of the problems that have plagued the Pelicans all season, namely turnovers and terrible bench play.

It’s not hyperbole to say that Lonzo Ball won the game for the New Orleans Pelicans last night.

Not only did his 3-point shooting keep them in the game in the second half when they were having trouble scoring but his defense was amazing all night, including on the final play when he made a perfect rotation to cut Myles Turner off at the rim.

Lonzo is growing into his new role as a 3-and-D wing who can make plays, which is precisely what the Pelicans need right now.

Lonzo hasn’t been getting as many assists but has emerged as the third scoring option the Pelicans need.

His defense has been outstanding and Lonzo Ball has shot over 50 percent from long-range over the last three games.
