New Orleans Pelicans: Trading Lonzo Ball to the Chicago Bulls

The Bulls would love to add a point guard to go with budding star Zach LaVine, as well as someone to bring a big name and some excitement to a team that lacks both.

The Bulls are an in-betweener at the moment, as they are close to the playoffs but still not very good. They would love to make it just to prove to LaVine that they are making progress and that he should stay.

Lonzo is also a pretty good fit with their roster and could be the playmaker that they lack.

The Bulls do have a couple of players that might intrigue the Pelicans but it’s unclear if any of them would be available.

Lauri Markkanen would be a nice get for the Pelicans but he has been injured off and on this season and would definitely not help their woeful defense.

They could take a chance on a wing like Chandler Hutchinson, but again, he is always hurt and is not enough to get Lonzo by himself.

If the Bulls were to offer one of their wings or young bigs like Wendall Carter Jr. and a pick, that might interest the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Bulls are a better match but it is still hard to see it happening without a third team, as most of their best assets are hurt.
